Airguns, on the other hand, primarily shoot metal projectiles. They’re commonly known as pellet and BB guns. Typical calibers (projectile diameters expressed in inches) are .177 and .22, but there are also less common .20, .25, .357, .45, .50, and even .58 calibers. Airgun types include break-open (break barrel), sidelever, bolt-action, lever-action, and underlever.
