All items offered online will have a minimum starting bid of $1.00 as displayed on the online catalogue. Online bids lower than minimum will not be accepted. All prospective bidders are advised to inspect each lot they wish to bid on and to satisfy themselves as to the description, authenticity, overall condition of each lot and to bid accordingly. Bidder inspection is encouraged. In addition to an advertised preview, please feel free to request a private review by emailing scott@capitalareatreasures.com to arrange. By placing a bid, bidder signifies that they have examined the items to their satisfaction, or that they have chosen not to personally examine them. All lots are sold AS IS WHERE IS, with no guarantees. Catalogue descriptions and auctioneers statements are opinion only, with no warranty implied. If the auctioneer verbally guarantees item's authenticity and said item is proven to be other based on a recognized experts comprehensive report, the auction house shall provide a full refund. All claims must be submitted within Seven days of auction sale date. Capital Area Treasures, LLC will not incur any cost associated with outside appraisals or opinions. ACCEPTABLE PAYMENT METHODS: Credit Card payment information is entered at time of auction registration and funds equivalent to the total for auction, premiums and taxes will be debited on date that auction concludes. SHIPPING: Capital Area Treasures will deliver won items weighing less than 25 pounds to winning bidders within the Washington D.C. metro area at NO COST. Capital Area Treasures, LLC will make every reasonable effort to safely transport items, however will not be responsible for any damage that occurs as in conjunction with delivery of any purchased items. Deliveries will commence immediately following auction and should conclude within 1 week of end of auction. Buyers for larger items will be contacted to arrange for pickup immediately following auction. Capital Area Treasures, LLC will not package and/or ship items through a 3rd party carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx etc.) For winning bidders who live outside of the Washington D.C. metro area, Capital Area Treasures will transport those won items to a regional UPS Store location where items will be held for winners, pending their call to arrange the terms for packagine and shipment. Capital Area Treasures will not charge winning bidders for delivering those items to UPS Store. Once notified by Capital Area Treasures that the won items are being held at UPS Store and awaiting your call to arrange shipping, those arrangements must be made within 2 weeks or UPS will request that we retrieve them. There will be no refunds given for those out of region buyers who win item(s) and do not contact UPS to make the needed delivery arrangements within that 2 week period. If non-regional buyers have friends/family in the D.C. Metro area, we are happy to provide our no-cost delivery to those local addresses. Capital Area Treasurs, L.L.C. will communicate with all new successful regional online bidders within 72 hours after auction to arrange delivery. Out of region buyers will be notified within 5 business days the pertinent contact information for the UPS Store. All sales are final. BUYERS PREMIUM: All lots sold to bidders will be assessed a 15% buyers premium. Sales Tax: All items are subject to Virginia Sales Tax of 6%.
